A Sedalia resident was arrested after authorities say he fatally shot a man who was later identified as his adult son.
About 10:15 p.m. July 1, dispatch received a call from Frank Leo Huner Jr., 58, who reported having shot what he believed to be an intruder breaking into his home in the 3400 block of Elk Canyon Court, according to a news release from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. During the call, Huner identified the intruder as his son.
On July 3, the Douglas County Coroner's Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Nicholas Huner, 33, and the cause of death as a gunshot wound.
