Barn dance set to support Cardinal Club

Posted

In an effort to keep the spirit of the Elizabeth High School Cardinal Club alive, volunteers of the club are sponsoring a community barn dance. The event will be from 6-11 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Kiowa Fairgrounds.

Tickets to the event are $15, and those who attend must be 21 years of age or older. The Jaded Traveler band will provide live music and there will be dinner, dessert and a silent auction.

The Cardinal Club is working to raise funds for needed equipment for Elizabeth sports and for scholarships for seniors pursuing higher education. In the past, the club raised funds by working the Golf International Tournament, which is no longer played.
