Elizabeth Stampede needs volunteers ASAP

Hospitality, security, parking, entertainment have biggest needs

Posted
The Elizabeth Stampede — featuring the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo that is the community's signature Western event — greatly needs more volunteers. The Elizabeth Stampede events run from Thursday, June 2 through Sunday, June 5. Volunteers are needed for most committees. The greatest need is for the areas of:

● Hospitality
● Security
● Parking
● Entertainment (Beer Garden)

Benefits of being a volunteer:

● Premium event parking and shuttle to the arena
● Free access to the rodeo grounds
● Discounted meals from the hospitality tent ($20 for the entire weekend)
● 25% discount on Stampede store merchandise
● Becoming a part of Colorado’s great rodeo tradition

Traci McClain, president of the Elizabeth Stampede, offers a statement to those interested in volunteering for the events:

“We could not have this rodeo without the hard work of our volunteers.  From the friendly faces who greet our spectators and our contestants as they enter the gate, to the cheerful people who serve food and drinks, there's no doubt to anyone who visits our rodeo that our volunteers love what they do. When the sun sinks low on that first Friday evening, the lights come on and the announcer begins to rev the crowd, you feel a shift in the energy and the air becomes electric. There is no doubt that this energy you feel is the energy of 200-plus volunteers doing what they love. This is the heart of the Elizabeth Stampede.

"The best part about being a volunteer is the lifelong friendships you make. For most of us, these friendships quickly turn into an extended family. We work together, we laugh together, and we celebrate together. The reward of creating something that is bigger than any one individual is an amazing experience. There's a sense of community and a sense of belonging that is difficult to find anywhere else.”
