To thank the community for its support, ChalkBox Gymnastics and Cheer is having a customer appreciation day to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the gym.

Beginning at noon and lasting until 4 p.m. Oct. 4 at ChalkBox, 40580 Cricket Circle in Elizabeth, the public is invited to attend a day filled with fun activities and food, free.

Also at the event there will be a chili cook-off with the winner receiving a free eight-week session of gymnastics classes.

Stacy Folmar, owner and head coach of ChalkBox Gymnastics and Cheer, said the main reason for the appreciation day is to have fun.

“It’s just a thanks to the community for supporting us in our first year,” she said.
