‘Tails & Tales’ is theme for libraries’ free program

Posted

Registration is now open for the Pines & Plains Libraries Annual Summer Reading Program, and “Tails & Tales” is the theme for the free program that is available to all ages for June and July.

Participants will take part in library-led activities and are eligible for prizes.

The programs offered are:

• Early Literacy Program (ages 0-4)

• Children’s Program (ages 5-12)

• Teen Program (ages 13-17)

• Adult Program (ages 18 and older)

While the early literacy and children’s programs are designed to increase reading ability and proficiency, the teen program is designed to inspire a love of lifelong reading and learning. Participants are guaranteed to have a tail-wagging great time over the summer break.

The adult program is designed to encourage a continued love of lifelong reading and learning and add a bit of summer fun.

Throughout each program, participants will be reading and completing a variety of other activities to earn points toward winning a water bottle as well as entries for grand prizes. Grand prizes include passes to Colorado State Parks, museums, and zoos.

Once participants have earned enough points, they’ll receive a completion certificate to print and share.

To register online for the free program, go online to pplibraries.readsquared.com or visit your local Pines & Plains library.
