State wrestling: Fort Lupton takes home pair of state titles

Fort Lupton's Rylee Balcazar was the top seed in the 100-pound weight class at the girls state tournament at Ball Arena, and she showed the pollsters right. Balcazar won the state title with a 4-0 decision over Larhae Whaley of Soroco.

Dmitri Garza-Alarcon, shown in the early rounds of the state 3A wrestling tournament at Ball Arena, won his second straight state title Feb. 19. He defeated Woodland Park's Brady Hankin 4-3, denying Hankin a fourth straight state title.
