The Hilltop Schoolhouse is hosting an afternoon with Mrs. Claus. All proceeds will directly assist local families who may be having a problem making ends meet this winter. One of the best things about Christmas, is being able to give to someone else. The Hilltop Social Club, which is organizing this event, has decided to ask visitors to bring a $5 donation or a new gift for a child or youth. These gifts of money and thoughtful purchase will be given to a nearby school to deliver to families during the following week, just in time for Christmas.
While at the schoolhouse, children of all ages can drink hot chocolate and have a cookie with Mrs. Claus. An old-fashioned ornament making center will be open, as well as, a Colorado & Southern HO Railroad train in a village setting will be on display. The train is very similar to the train that ran between Parker and Elizabeth and also stopped in Hilltop about 125 years ago!
So all are invited to come meet with Mrs. Claus and have your picture taken together, while she makes her quick stop at the Hilltop Schoolhouse! Let's show her a warm welcome!
