Web sites can lure customers

Elbert County businesses looking to develop or upgrade their Web sites can now do so with a little help from another business. Content Pros, owned by John and Nancy Clark out of Simla, is designed to help businesses expand their online presence.

The couple moved to Elbert County a year ago, and work together with businesses to create Web sites that are suited for their business and appealing to their customers. Nancy Clark said with today’s economy, the Internet is a much more effective form of marketing and advertising. Some businesses think they cannot afford or maintain a Web site, she said.

“Businesses don’t have to increase their budget. They just need to reallocate their funds to increase their exposure without breaking the bank,” she said.

Content Pros begin by traveling to the business and meeting with representatives to evaluate an existing Web site, or discuss a new one. Nancy said she and her husband help businesses figure out the their Web goals and from there they can build a site with those in mind.

“Finding the goals is really important,” she said. “We are here to sit down with them and work with them, ultimately it is up to them.”

Content Pros provides the administrative tools to allow businesses to continue to upgrade their Web sites on their own and gives them the freedom to move forward as the business sees fit. She said it is important for businesses to keep an existing Web site because customers can become skeptical about a business after they visit an outdated Web site.

Nancy said it is important understanding the customer’s buying needs and their evaluation of the business’ products. Therefore, Content Pros works to design a Web site that will be user friendly to customers who can easily browse and ultimately use to make a purchasing decision.

“Customers use Web sites to educate themselves about a business. A Web site allows a business to lure them in,” she said.

Content Pros’ goal is to bridge the gap between the printed advertising and marketing material to the Internet to help businesses expand.

“Web site information is more readily available than a Yellow Page ad for example,” Nancy Clark said.
